I have been enthusiastically helping protect the island from fire and other disasters since I joined the Fire Department in spring of 2014. When I’m not hauling portions of Hague Lake to a fire or sniffing out burning things, I enjoy studying firefighting strategy, gluing things together with hot metal, messing about in boats, and traveling the west coast playing folk music.
